✍🏾 My Thought for Today
I want to sincerely apologize to our Native American Indian brothers and sisters for not recognizing and including you from the beginning of our relaunch of Blaqsbi.com.. I’ve noticed that in today’s world, people rarely discuss the significant contributions of Native Americans to the history and story of America. Is this just an unconscious oversight, or is it intentional social programming meant to mitigate the cruelty or erase the memory of how white European settlers befriended and massacred Native American Indians — and literally took this land?

Blaqsbi.com must be a reminder of the importance of inclusivity and acknowledgment — of the interconnected trauma of Native American genocide and Black slavery in America. I am part Native American Indian on my mother’s side, which makes this reflection and effort to reach out even more personal.

Let’s strive to honor and elevate the voices and stories of Native American Indians in our conversations and on this platform.
