As such it is our duty to avoid anything that might alienate us from it would be fatal for us to believe that straightening our hair and bleaching our skins. etc. can act as a plus towards the survival and success of our race. Although some blacks will argue that it is what they feel inside that matters we fail to understand how they can feel black inside whilst attempting to look white outside. some may say that they straighten their hair to make it more manageable. plaiting black hair makes it very manageable. which rules out any need to straighten our hair for that purpose. it is obvious that blacks have been brainwashed to feel dissatisfied with their natural looks by a western civilisation that makes immeasurable profit from the sale of hair straightening and skin bleaching chemicals. Surely it is time that blacks spent their hard earned money on them. selves and their families. to enhance their natural beauty. and stopped trying to acquire European characteristics under the pretext of a desire to have manageable hair or a beautiful complexion. When the creator populated this planet with perfect beings. he did think about manageable hair. but he still created black people with beautiful. Curly hair and black skins. What right do any of us have to question. Change or erase his perfect masterpiece?
What right do any of us have to measure our natural beauty and our black heritage with a western yardstick?
As a race. We need a complete turn around in our attitudes towards ourselves if we are going to survive and succeed at all. We desperately need to regain our dignity and identify which we lost at the hands of slave master. Colonialists. Imperialist and economic institutions whose sole purpose has been to maximise their profits at our expense. Let us be what we can only be our natural. black selves
